Welcome To The New Age

WELCOME TO THE NEW AGE: THE INFORMATION AGE

Please note that things have changed and as people and investors we must change too. Schools are still teaching the Agrarian style of teaching. Our educational system in the United States has not changed much in over 100 years. But the way people make money and invest has.

Today there are online banks that have no physical locations at all, and you can post what you had for breakfast on your twitter account. Maybe you follow your favorite celebrity and what they do in their daily lives. Let’s not forget all the stuff posted on Face Book and YouTube daily. I want you to stop and think about your life.

I want you to open your eyes to the new way of making money. In the past you would open your savings account at the bank, and work all your life at one job to get a pension. Pensions are becoming obsolete. They are underfunded liabilities for the companies that provide them, and they will become a strain on the companies that still have them. This goes the same for government pensions. This is one reason why the US post office is having financial trouble.

401ks are direct contribution plans that are fast replacing the pensions of the past. These are forcing everyone to save for retirement. It is no longer your employer’s responsibilities to take care of you. You must take care of yourself! If you don’t save enough for the future, then you are out of luck. The 401k is forcing millions of people who are not investors to invest. In the information age the more information you have the better choice you can make.

You must become financially educated in the information age! I know you may think it will be hard to teach old dog new tricks. All I ask of you is that you stick with me. Allow me to break it down little by little. Commit to reading some to start your education. You work 40 plus hours week now. How about committing to your future and read 10-15 minutes a day.
